I surprised myself last year by rebooking into Anantara the Palm Dubai for a 2nd time running; I like hotel surfing so I don't usually stay at the same hotel twice in the space of 1 year; especially in Dubai where you have an array of luxury hotels to choose from.
How did i find my stay at Anantara the 2nd time round ?
If you missed my previous blog post on Anantara
Dubai you can find it here . Anantara is a fairly
new hotel (approx. 3 years old now) with a Thai villa vibe to it. Most of the
villa rooms are surrounded by a sky blue lagoon and the general service is top
notch; minus a few niggles here and there.
I stayed in a deluxe lagoon room which had direct access into the lagoon, perfect for hot summer days. On getting to the room we had a complimentary bottle of wine and some fresh fruits waiting for us as a 'welcome back to Anantara' gesture. Top marks for Anantara there.
I don't usually have negatives on luxury style hotels, but today I have a slight niggle. We arrived at the hotel at 2.15pm, with check-in at 3pm and our room still wasn't ready, we got a room just after 3pm and when we got to the room, an engineer had to be called out for a leak on the aircon. Epic fail to Anantara here.
Not much
had changed since my last visit to Anantara, I felt the service was still adequate for a 5
star hotel minus the initial glitch above and Anantara now have a long tail Abra style boat which runs from
the Palm Jumeirah to the Marina; a good way to explore the Palm and Marina region.
A few recent archived pictures of my stay at Anantara below, if you're looking for a decent 5* hotel in Dubai try the this Thai inspired luxury.
Hope you
have a good week ahead.

Nice photos, Dubai are the great city. Dubai combines modern city and the beautiful desert oasis, but it's very expensive. I know one tip how you can save a lot of money when you'll visit Dubai its Kiwitaxi http://kiwitaxi.com/UAE/Dubai this great online taxi service can take you from the airport, its very comfortable, cheap and you'll get to the place you need and just in time.
ReplyDeleteHi Tolu. Great Post & the images say it all. Dubai is globally renowned for ostentatious hotels, pristine beaches & enthralling shopping destinations. Another crowd-pleaser in the long list of Dubai is the magnificent Dubai Miracle Garden that features a giant Floral Clock, Castles, Lost Paradise & giant Disney characters, all made from natural flowers.
ReplyDeleteHi Oscar, I agree the luxury in Dubai is undeniable, I visited the Miracle garden last year, amazing. Thanks for stopping by.
