Rosewood Abu Dhabi

6 September 2015

Abu Dhabi!!! All I can say is wow. I recently travelled to Abu Dhabi and it left me speechless; The whole time I was there, I was left wondering how a place which was near enough a desert a few decades ago has grown into such a beautiful oasis.

I stayed at Rosewood Abu Dhabi on the gorgeous Al Maryah island and this whole area is very picturesque; did I say wow already!
Rosewood Abu Dhabi opened mid 2013, a luxury hotel with brand new amenities. I stayed in a Deluxe room overlooking the Al Maryah island and the morning views are completely peaceful. Let's just say I spent many hours sitting down just gazing out through the top-to-bottom windows watching the world go by.

Rosewood hotel does not hold back on the techy gadgets, if you are a technology lover, you'll love this hotel, almost everything in the bedroom is controlled via an iPad.
From the lights, to the air-con, TV and even down to the curtains, all these amenities are controlled by an iPad conveniently located by your bedside.
For those who haven't got the slightest clue about technology you can still operate all the amenities the old fashioned way.

The king bed in the deluxe room is one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in, and the bathroom comes with a free-standing bath plus a sit down shower complete with Roberto Cavalli amenities.

Breakfast at the hotel was on par with other luxury hotels, there was a wide range on offer, yet without the overwhelming feeling of deciding what to eat. The Chefs and the service staff at breakfast do everything they can to accommodate your needs.

For those travelling with kids, there is also a kids club at Rosewood called Rosebuds, the staff at the kids club try and create a balance between the activities on offer; kids can choose from reading, activity games, using the games console or watching kids movies. My little traveller enjoyed the kids club daily.

After a busy day exploring Abu dhabi, relaxing by the hotel cabanas is a must; Soaking up the views across Al Maryah island and enjoying an evening drink by the pool, or taking a dip in the pool.

Rosewood hotel is directly linked to the new Galleria mall in Abu Dhabi; You can directly access the mall via a lift from the hotel lobby. The Galleria mall is spotless and not too rowdy, I felt like I was shopping in my own private mall.

Lastly, I have to comment on the level of service from the staff  at Rosewood Abu dhabi;  when you leave a hotel and remember the names of staff members, you can tell they've left an impression on you. I have to give it up to 'Nemo' at the breakfast room (yes the fish Nemo); his personality was infectious and everyday he made my little traveller excited to go down for breakfast.

If you're in Abu Dhabi for business or leisure, give Rosewood hotel a try, you wont be disappointed. Will I visit again? Yes without a doubt.

Thank you Abu dhabi for being kind to us and showing us your lovely Sunsets every night.

Have a good week ahead and see you next week for another weekly review post.
