Going to Paris? Got only 72hrs? not sure what to do? Then read on.
When I decided to book a trip to Paris with my little one, the first thing that came to mind was, we're taking a 5 yr old on a city break; there will be loads of sight seeing and walking around; no beach or kids activities; he definitely will be bored.
Safe to say I couldn't have been more wrong; all I needed was a super detailed itinerary to keep us busy and entertained.
We stayed in the la defense district
at the newly opened Melia la defense (see my review of Melia Paris la defense ); Staying
in the la defense district was perfect for us, we got to experience the city
life in the day, but return back to the tranquil of the district at night.

Today I am showing my spring look book from my time in Paris, I recently visited the city of love; where the sun was relatively shinning and I could definitely feel the love in the air.
Spring weather in Paris is typically like spring time in London; the weather is a tad bit breezy, and me being originally from a tropical climate, ( I'm not about that freezing life! )
I decided to keep my outfits simple and chic, I went for more functional over fashion.

My Airport look
For the airport I wore a bomber jacket from the Tu Sainsbury's Gok Wan brand, it was super comfy and I'm loving the bomber jacket trend at the moment, I paired it with some super comfy Jeans from Marks and Spencer's, I love how M&S clothes are always true to size.

My wanderlust recently took me to Paris for a few days, and all I can say is it was truly magical. From exploring the Eiffel tower, to the Louvre Museum and Champs-Elysee, it was all so jaw dropping.
We stayed at the lovely Melia Paris La defense in the financial district of Paris; the equivalent of Canary wharf in London, despite this hotel being a business hotel, it catered well for both business and leisure travellers.
We stayed in a Melia Premium double room which was big enough for 3 people with an extra bed; our room also had distant views across Paris and the Eiffel tower. Seeing the Eiffel tower glowing at night was magical, even from a distance.
Melia bathroom accessories, they smell so nice.
Kettle vs Nespresso machine - Not really fussed either way, they both do the job.
Distant views of the Eiffel tower from the Premium rooms.
I was pleasantly surprised with the Breakfast at the hotel, I have stayed at a few hotels in France, and I have to say breakfast in France is usually sparse, Melia surprisingly had a really good spread, they had everything you could think of including an egg making station where you had eggs made to order.
The hotel also has a gym, which I didn't make use of on this trip and also a lounge for drinks and canapes.
Next to the hotel is one of the biggest malls in Europe, Les 4 Temps / CNIT mall which is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel; It has everything from high street brands like zara, sephora and hm to high end restaurants, we dined here a couple of times and the food was reasonably priced. The Grande Arche is also directly opposite the mall.
