South Of France - Tiara Miramar Beach hotel

Exploring a new destination is always an exciting task, I recently travelled to south of France with the family and we stayed at a lovely hotel called Tiara Miramar Beach hotel. The hotel is in a small town called Theoule Sur Mer, a 25 minute journey from Cannes.

We flew in from NicĂ© airport and used the reliable 'Uber' service to the hotel. (You can also get taxi's directly from the airport)
On getting to the hotel, our luggage was promptly collected from the car and we were ushered into the lobby and given some welcome drinks. - the welcome drink is always appreciated after a long journey.

The hotel looked absolutely gorgeous, the lobby area has a pool table and a few other games, while waiting to be checked in we quickly got acquainted with the pool table.

After check- in, which surprisingly did not require any form of holding deposit, we were taken to our room and shown the amenities.
The room was gorgeous and spacious enough for 3 people, it also had a balcony and looked directly into the sea. The view was the most gorgeous view ever.

The hotel has a spacious slab beach overlooking the sea, - let me digress for a little, up until I visited this hotel I thought a beach only meant sandy or rocky area, this hotel has a slab beach.
There's always a first for everything, but that didn't bother me, as the city of Cannes has a beautiful sandy beach and is only 25 mins drive from the hotel. (see previous post for details of our day in Cannes  - http://toluinwonderland.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/south-of-france-diaries-day-in-cannes.html)

The hotel grounds are equally as gorgeous with lush sunbeds overlooking the sea, a fab heated outdoor pool and ample space to relax and soak up the sun.

We took a swim in the lovely heated pool, the little one is turning into a fish in the water.

Showers after swimming ... Lush

We had daily breakfast at the hotel and the occasional diner at the Bistrot M restaurant.
The breakfast spread was minimal but adequate, they had scrambled eggs, sausages, croissants and a variety of juices and fruits. It was a sufficient spread but nothing compared to other 5* hotels I have been to. (lets just say in most Dubai hotels you are served dinner portions for breakfast :-))

Breakfast room

I have to admit this hotel serves the best hot chocolate ever the little munchkin loved it.. :-)

Sweets after breakfast... Nice treat for kids.

We also had fab mountains and sea views from the breakfast room

We had room service a couple of times - most items available in the restaurants can also be ordered for room service at the same price.

The hotel has a turn down service in the evening where the rooms are set up for night time, the rooms are tidied up, new towels supplied and some lovely sweets left in the rooms.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tiara Miramar Beach hotel, a few niggles here and there but all in all we would visit again.

If you are after a quick getaway before the end of the year or for the new year, give it a try, there's always something so inviting about staying in a brand new luxury hotel, so here's one to consider the next time you visit this region.

watch out for a mini vlog of our stay at Tiara Miramar on the youtube channel.

Tips for Tiara Miramar:
- Taxi's to get to the hotel from the Airport cost us approx. £40 - 50 via Uber or zip transfers on google - reliable service from both vendors  (approx. 50 mins drive from Nice Cot d'azur airport)
- Surprisingly No holding deposit taken from credit card at check-in.

- Cannes is about a 25 mins journey - great for entertainment and a fab sandy beach and posh shops.

- Flights to Nice Cot d'azur from London Heathrow/ Stansted/Gatwick from £70 upwards for a return journey.... dependent on airline and peak/ off peak travel prices
- If you are after a bargain, visit hotel during Off season.
